Connection Terms of Service

Version 1.1. Effective date: July 9, 2026.

Welcome

Connection exists to help people build meaningful, intentional, and authentic relationships through a platform designed around trust, safety, and respect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Connection platform, including our website, mobile applications, services, features, content, and related technologies (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using Connection, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

Our Mission

Connection was built to help people form authentic, lasting relationships through a platform designed around trust, intentionality, and meaningful human connection. Unlike platforms designed primarily to maximize engagement, Connection strives to create an environment where meaningful relationships can develop in a respectful and intentional manner.

The Connection Model

Connection works differently from swipe-based apps, and these Terms reflect that.

  • Each member holds a small roster of active connections (currently five) rather than an unlimited queue.
  • Introductions are generated by Connection's matching system, which combines your stated preferences with artificial intelligence. The match explanations and conversation starters you see are AI-generated and may occasionally be imperfect.
  • Every member passes identity verification and a founder Welcome Call before receiving introductions.
  • You may release a connection at any time; the space refills as suitable members are available. We do not guarantee that every space will be filled at all times, particularly in newly launched areas.

    • Definitions

    "Connection", "we," "our," or "us" refers to GOM Enterprise LLC, an Arizona limited liability company operating the Connection platform, and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, successors, and authorized representatives. "Member," "User," or "You" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Platform. "Content" includes text, photographs, profile information, messages, and other material uploaded or shared through the Platform. "Services" refers to all products, features, technologies, applications, websites, and experiences provided through Connection.

    Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age. Accounts determined to belong to individuals under 18 will be removed.
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
  • You agree to provide truthful, accurate, current, and complete information when creating and maintaining your account, including your name, date of birth, email, phone number, location, and verification information.
  • One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to avoid enforcement, manipulate the Platform, or impersonate others is prohibited.
  • Connection may not be available in every country or territory, and we may restrict access where operation would violate applicable law.
  • Connection reserves the right, where permitted by law, to refuse service to individuals whose use of the Platform presents unacceptable legal, operational, or community safety risks.

    • Account Registration and Security

    Your account is personal to you. You may not sell, transfer, rent, or share your account or credentials, and you remain responsible for all activity occurring through your account. You agree to use a secure password, protect your authentication methods, and notify Connection promptly of unauthorized access. Connection may require identity verification before restoring access to an account and may deactivate accounts after an extended period of inactivity, with reasonable efforts to notify affected members first.

    Identity Verification

    Trust begins with authenticity. Every member completes identity verification before receiving introductions. Verification (government-issued ID and selfie with liveness detection) is processed by our third-party verification provider, Stripe; Connection receives only the verification result, never your documents. Verification confirms only that the account satisfied our verification requirements at the time it was completed. It is not an endorsement, background investigation, or guarantee of any member's character, intentions, honesty, or future conduct. Attempts to manipulate or circumvent verification may result in permanent removal.

    Member Responsibilities

  • Authenticity. Represent yourself honestly. Do not mislead, deceive, or manipulate others.
  • Respect. Treat every member with dignity. Harassment, intimidation, abuse, threats, and targeted hostility are not tolerated.
  • Accountability. You are responsible for your account, profile, communications, content, and interactions.
  • Good faith. Connection is for people seeking genuine relationships. Do not misuse features or exploit other members.
  • Legal compliance. You must comply with all applicable laws while using Connection.
  • Offline interactions. You are solely responsible for decisions regarding in-person meetings. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust, arrange your own transportation, and end any interaction that feels unsafe.

    • Prohibited Conduct

    Violations may result in warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, permanent removal, or referral to authorities where required by law. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment, threats, bullying, encouraging self-harm, or promoting violence.
  • Hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
  • Impersonating any person, business, or Connection staff.
  • Fraud and deception, including romance scams, financial fraud, identity theft, catfishing, phishing, and investment or cryptocurrency scams.
  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or unauthorized automation.
  • Sexual exploitation, coercion, grooming, trafficking, non-consensual intimate imagery, extortion, or any exploitation of minors. Violations result in immediate action and may be reported to authorities.
  • Platform abuse: reverse engineering, unauthorized access, circumventing security, scraping data, introducing malware, or using Platform content to train artificial intelligence models without authorization.

    • Connection reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and act to protect members even when specific conduct is not explicitly listed.

    Reporting and Blocking

    Member safety tools are built into the app.

  • Report. You may report any member from their profile or your conversation, with a reason and optional details. Reports are confidential; the reported member is not told who reported them. The founders review every report and take appropriate action, from warnings to permanent removal.
  • Block. You may block any member from their profile or your conversation. Blocking ends the connection, prevents further messages, and ensures you are never introduced to that member again. Blocked members are not notified.

    • Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Knowingly false or malicious reports may themselves constitute a violation of these Terms. Connection should not be relied upon for emergencies; if you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

    Connections and Communications

    Connection provides tools for members to communicate. Members independently decide who to connect with, whether to continue conversations, whether to meet offline, and whether to end communication. Connection does not guarantee compatibility, romantic success, response rates, or any relationship outcome. Members are solely responsible for their interactions with one another, including personal disagreements, financial arrangements between members, and decisions made outside the Platform.

    Your Content

    You retain ownership of the content you submit, including photos, prompts, and messages. By uploading content, you grant Connection a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, process, reproduce, and back up that content solely to operate, improve, moderate, and secure the Platform. This license ends when your content is permanently removed from our active systems, except where retention is required by law, security, or the legitimate purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Content must not violate these Terms, infringe intellectual property rights, contain unlawful material, or include unauthorized personal information belonging to others. Moderation decisions may combine automated systems and human review; Connection is not obligated to publish or maintain any content. If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant Connection permission to use that feedback without obligation or compensation.

    Paid Services

    Connection may offer paid features or subscriptions in the future. If we do, purchases will be governed by the pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms presented at the time of purchase, and payments will be processed by third-party payment providers. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, purchases are generally non-refundable. There are currently no paid member features.

    Connection Intellectual Property

    Except for member content, all rights in the Platform belong to Connection or its licensors, including software, algorithms, matching technology, designs, graphics, logos, documentation, and trademarks. Connection grants members a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purposes. You may not copy, reverse engineer, modify, create derivative works from, sell, or redistribute Platform technology or branding, or scrape Platform data. If you believe copyrighted material has been improperly used on the Platform, contact us and we will investigate.

    Enforcement, Suspension and Termination

    Connection may investigate suspected violations of these Terms, our policies, or applicable law, and may issue warnings, remove content, restrict features, require re-verification, suspend, or permanently remove accounts. Serious misconduct (fraud, exploitation, credible threats, severe harassment, significant security threats) may result in immediate termination. Where appropriate, members may request review of enforcement decisions; Connection's decision following review is generally final. You may close your account at any time from Settings, which deletes your profile, photos, connections, and conversations as described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, governing law) survive.

    Disclaimers

    The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or compatibility with every device. We do not guarantee introductions, compatibility, romantic outcomes, or the truthfulness, character, criminal history, or future behavior of any member. Verification and AI-assisted matching improve trust and quality but are not guarantees. Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal, medical, mental health, financial, or professional advice. Third-party services (verification, payments, AI infrastructure) are governed by their own terms and practices.

    Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Connection and its owners, employees, officers, directors, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform, interactions between members, offline meetings, loss of data, or personal decisions made through use of the Platform. Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Connection's aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars or the total amount you paid to Connection during the twelve months preceding the claim, unless a greater amount is required by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

    Indemnification

    You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Connection and its affiliates, employees, officers, directors, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, your infringement of another person's rights, content you upload, or misuse of your account.

    Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Members agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us before initiating formal proceedings. If informal resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through the procedures required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection laws.

    Miscellaneous

    These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Connection regarding the Platform. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Connection may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign your rights without our written consent. Connection is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. By using Connection, you consent to receive electronic communications regarding your account, security, legal notices, and Platform updates.

    Changes to These Terms

    As Connection evolves, we may update these Terms. When material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice through the Platform or other appropriate methods. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you must discontinue use and close your account.
